20+ Year Old Rubber Flooring!

Why KRAIBURG Dairy Rubber Flooring?

You heard that right... Dairy rubber flooring lasting 20 years and still in use!

Durable isn't a catchy marketing term anymore, it is a real world success story.

For more than two decades, KRAIBURG KURA dairy rubber flooring has been helping dairies improve footing, comfort, and long-term durability in alleyways, crossovers, holding areas and milking parlor decks. First released in 2002, KURA quickly earned its reputation as a dependable, premium solution, and it continues to be considered the gold standard in 1" thick rubber flooring.

At Agromatic, we’re proud to say we’ve been part of that story from the beginning, helping producers access proven flooring systems backed by real-world dairy experience.

A Two-Decade Track Record You Can Stand On

Close up shot of a single KRAIBURG KURA mat. Flooring in a dairy isn’t a “nice-to-have.” It’s a high-impact decision that affects daily routines, animal movement, employee confidence, and facility upkeep. That’s why KURA’s longevity matters.

Since 2002, Agromatic has been installing KURA in demanding environments where performance can’t be optional - wet conditions, high traffic, frequent washdowns, and the day-in/day-out reality of dairy work.

KURA has lasted because it works.

Why KURA Still Sets the Standard

KURA became known for delivering what dairies need most from dairy rubber flooring - without compromise:

  • Durability designed for dairy environments
  • Consistent footing and traction where slips are a real risk
  • Comfort underfoot for animals and employees
  • A proven fit for alleyways, crossovers, holding areas and milking parlor decks

If you’ve been around dairies long enough, you’ve likely heard it: when producers want a dependable, premium rubber flooring option, they ask for KURA by name.

Invest once. Benefit for decades.

The best value is the floor you don’t have to replace.

KURA Is an Investment in Your Farm and Your Future

When you choose flooring for high-traffic dairy areas, you’re not just buying rubber, you’re making a long-term decision that impacts cow comfort, confidence, and daily performance. KRAIBURG KURA is built for premium longevity.

Many dairies see rubber flooring as a short-cycle purchase. KURA is different. With real-world installs still performing after 20+ years, even in alleyways with scraper systems running around the clock, KURA is designed to deliver value long after typical alternatives are replaced. You may pay a bit more upfront, but the payoff comes in the form of lasting durability, dependable traction, and a surface your cows can use day after day, year after year.

Bottom line: KURA isn’t the cheapest option, it’s the option that’s made to keep paying you back.

Backed by Agromatic

KRAIBURG has been a trusted global name in rubber flooring for decades - but having the right product is only half the equation. The other half is having the right support behind it.

As KRAIBURG’s sole U.S. distributor since 1997, Agromatic helps dairies evaluate application needs, compare options, and choose the best-fit solution for their facility goals. Whether you’re installing in a new parlor build or upgrading high-wear traffic areas, our team is here to help you get it right.

On a recent visit to J & M Hofacker Farms in Appleton, Wisconsin, we spoke with John Hofacker, who, along with his two brothers, milks 250 head of cattle and averages about 92 lbs of milk per cow. Their barn is a strong example of what long-term performance really looks like: they installed KRAIBURG KURA rubber flooring over 20 years ago, and it’s still going strong in their alley lanes today, even with a scraper system running constantly.

John emphasized that at their farm, they prioritize cow comfort, and he’s seen firsthand how better footing supports that goal. In fact, he shared that as soon as they installed KURA, they noticed cows showing good heats, something he credits to the improved traction and confidence underfoot. Between the comfort benefits and the long-term durability, their experience is exactly why KURA has earned its reputation as a proven, high-performance dairy flooring option.

We also had the chance to speak with Kim Landt at Habeck Homestead Farms in Maribel, Wisconsin. Now in their sixth generation, the Habeck family has always prioritized cow comfort, and their flooring decisions reflect that commitment at every step. In their alleys, they have 20-year-old KRAIBURG KURA rubber flooring that’s been put to the test day after day, cleaned 24/7 by a scraper system, and it’s still performing.

Kim noted that KURA has helped cows move with more confidence and traction, which matters in high-traffic areas where footing can make or break cow flow. Just as importantly, she shared that they don’t have hock issues, which she attributes to the comfortable, supportive surface the cows live and move on daily. With results like that, it’s no surprise Habeck Homestead Farms has continued investing in cow comfort by expanding KURA into their holding area and return lanes to bring the same sure-footed performance to even more of the facility.

Built for Today’s Dairies

A lot has changed in the dairy industry since 2002. Facilities have expanded, throughput has increased, and expectations for longevity are higher than ever.

What hasn’t changed? The need for flooring that can take the daily grind.

That’s why, 20+ years later, KURA remains a go-to choice for producers who want durable, proven rubber flooring that holds up in real dairy conditions.
