Breezy Hill Campground in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is known for family camping, outdoor activities, and a welcoming atmosphere. But one of its most memorable attractions is a team of Percheron horses that provide wagon rides for campers on Saturday mornings.
When Breezy Hill Campground built its horse barn, owner John Wiltzius worked with Agromatic to outfit the stalls with KRAIBURG BELMONDO Trend stall mats on the floors and BELMONDO Rodeo wall mats on the walls. Two years later, the mats continue to perform under the weight and daily use of large draft horses.
We purchased some mats for comfort for these guys and also for ease of cleanliness and just the indestructible nature of the mat. They’ve been fantastic, and they actually hold up to these guys. They’ve worked wonderfully the last two years.

A Two-Year Check-In with Agromatic and KRAIBURG
Agromatic Sales Manager Erik Niemeier recently visited Breezy Hill Campground with Neele Schroeder, Area Sales Manager from KRAIBURG, who works specifically with the BELMONDO equine product line. The visit offered a chance to see how the mats were holding up after two years of use with large draft horses.
Two years ago they put in our BELMONDO Trend mat, and we thought we’d stop in today to see how things are holding up with these 2,000 lb animals.

Neele explained that BELMONDO Trend is especially well suited for heavy horses because of its comfortable surface, grip, and support for horses when they lie down and stand back up.
It’s very comfortable for the horses. It’s a good product for the heavy horses to have good shock absorption to the ground and grip to the ground, so they can lay down good and stand up also very well.

A Campground Experience with a Stable at the Heart of It
Breezy Hill Campground offers far more than campsites. Families can enjoy fishing ponds, swimming ponds, a swimming pool, hot tub, pickleball courts, basketball courts, and a wide range of activities for kids and families. The campground also delivers firewood and ice directly to campsites.
The Percheron wagon rides are a special part of that guest experience. Every Saturday morning, campers can grab a cinnamon roll and take a wagon ride around the campground with Breezy Hill’s team of horses.
For Agromatic, the project is a strong example of how BELMONDO equine mats can support both animal comfort and facility durability in a real-world, high-use setting.
