Frequently Asked Questions

• Can the Plus Touch control a misting system? Yes. With two zones and six relays, the Plus Touch can support two independent misting systems. These can be configured as temperature-controlled duty cycles.
• Can I control a pump by humidity? Yes. While temperature is the primary control mode, you can configure a cooling relay with a high set point so it won’t activate by temperature. Then, assign a humidity sensor as a secondary modifier to switch the pump on or off based on humidity.
• Can I control equipment that requires a 0 to 10 VDC signal? Yes. You can connect a VDC-4 (Variable DC Module), which provides four 0–10 VDC outputs for controlling variable heating or cooling equipment.
• Do I need the KPT-DISPLAY or the KPEC-PLUS TOUCH? It depends. Use the KPEC-PLUS TOUCH kit to upgrade a PEC-PLUS-RS board to a Plus Touch. Use the KPT-DISPLAY kit to replace a damaged display on an existing Plus Touch. PEC-PLUS-RS boards feature a large black heatsink, while Plus Touch boards have a small power supply instead.
• How big is the control? The enclosure measures 9 x 7 x 3.75 inches (23 x 18 x 9.5 cm). The attached heatsink adds approximately 1.25 inches (3.5 cm) to the overall width.
